This revision of ANSI/UL 817 is being issued to incorporate the following changes:

Addition of requirements to allow the use of SPT-1W and SPT-2W for outdoor-use power-supply cords

Revision to Table 10.15 to allow an adapter cord set with a 20 A attachment plug to have both 15 A and 20 A outlets

Revision to Table 10.2, circuit-conductor ampacity and voltage rating for jacketed cords in extension cord sets and power-supply cords

Addition of requirements for rotating plugs

Addition of requirements related to overcurrent protection on 18 and 17 AWG extension cord sets

Addition of requirements to cover a construction of a general-use cord set employing a joint
